It’s like a sixth sense. It’s a devilish quality, but it may also lead to a certain amount of creature comfort. The Harsh Reality is that people can smell desperation. I don’t know if it’s a defense mechanism or if it’s what separates the dogs from the divas, but there’s something to it. Have you ever wanted, so desperately, to get your point across? Unless you are speaking to someone with a merciful heart, it’s not going to register. It’s just not.
What don’t you do? I don’t rush. I won’t do it anymore. That is one effect a near death experience has had on me. I know my limits. I will push through them, but I’m not going to rush it. Understand? Time ticks away. Time is wasted. You can’t waste time. You can miss out on life. Introverts like me spend a lot of time thinking about life. Then, we think about how we are missing out on life. Then, maybe you have a moment of revelation where what you are doing right now is your life. This is your moment. This is your time to take advantage of all your past experiences. The dreams you’ve had, now you can put them into action. You know there are still some missing pieces to the puzzle, but you can actively wait for participation. These are acts of leadership, be it self-leadership or team leadership and development. Time is not wasted.
